Aesthetics Clinic Case Study: From Four AI Referred Enquiries a Month to Twenty Two

A three room aesthetics clinic had four AI referred enquiries in a month. After adding treatment specific pricing, practitioner credentials, and downtime details, the next month brought twenty two, and nine became booked consultations.

A three room aesthetics clinic in a commuter town outside London had built a loyal client base over six years, mostly through referrals and a strong Instagram following. Nobody at the clinic had ever asked how many new consultations started with someone asking ChatGPT or Google's AI Overview for a recommendation. Once the owner asked, the answer for one full month was four.

The Month Nobody Was Counting

The clinic began logging the source of every enquiry for one full month. Forty one enquiries came in through the contact form, the phone, and Instagram messages combined. Only four people mentioned an AI assistant as the reason they got in touch, and none of the four specified which treatment they wanted before calling.

1. What The Website Was Actually Saying

The clinic's treatment page listed anti wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, chemical peels, and skin consultations as a single list of names. No price appeared anywhere on the site, every treatment linked to the same booking form. The lead practitioner held a recognised Level 7 qualification in injectables and had six years of clinical experience, but that information lived only on a printed certificate on the clinic wall. To an AI assistant comparing five aesthetics clinics in the same postcode, there was no way to tell this one apart from the rest.

2. Three Changes, Made In Ten Days

Treatment prices did not change and no new equipment was purchased. Three specific facts were added to the existing site over ten days.

  • A price range for the four most requested treatments, anti wrinkle injections, one syringe of filler, a course of three chemical peels, and a full skin consultation, shown next to each treatment name instead of a single booking button
  • The lead practitioner's Level 7 qualification, her six years of clinical experience, and the professional body she is registered with, added to the treatments page and the about page instead of left on a wall certificate
  • A stated downtime and aftercare summary for each injectable and peel treatment, so a reader could see in one line whether they would need to plan time off work

3. The Following Month Told A Different Story

The clinic kept logging every enquiry the same way. Total enquiries rose to forty nine the following month. Twenty two of them, close to half, specifically named ChatGPT or Google's AI Overview as the reason they contacted this clinic instead of one of the others nearby.

4. Enquiries Into Booked Consultations

Not every enquiry becomes a paying client, and this clinic was no exception. Of the twenty two AI referred enquiries, nine were booked as paid consultations within the same month. Four went on to book an anti wrinkle treatment, three booked a filler consultation, and two booked a skin peel course. None of the nine asked about price during the call, they had already seen the range online.

An AI assistant cannot recommend a price it was never told or a qualification it was never shown.

What This Means For Beauty and Wellness Businesses

None of the three changes required a rebrand or a new booking system. They required stating, in plain text, the facts an AI assistant needs to name one clinic instead of five identical looking ones nearby: what a treatment actually costs, who is performing it and how qualified they are, and what a client should expect afterwards. Clinics waiting for a slower season to make changes like these are the ones still showing up as four on their own version of this measurement.
